The 2012 Volkswagen Transporter Sportline comes with a new model featuring bold, sporty styling while retaining all of the practicality and functionality synonymous with the Transporter. Offering greater variation than ever before, the new Sportline specification is available on both panel van and kombi models, in both short- and long-wheelbase.
The Volkswagen Transporter Sportline trim adds some sporty exterior touches such as a glossy black grille with chrome detailing, smoked headlights, plus a revised front bumper that incorporates fog lights and a smaller grille. The practical and comfortable interior of the Transporter cabin has been further enhanced with all Sportline models featuring exclusive two-tone leather upholstery.



Additional elements include polished stainless steel sidebars and unique 18-inch “Sportline 5-spoke” alloys, finished in silver or satin black. At the rear, the van features smoked tail lamps and a roof spoiler. The available stylish paint finishes are Reflex Silver metallic, Deep Black pearlescent or, the optional Candy White with a contrasting gloss black roof.
All Volkswagen Transporter Sportline models are fitted with the refined and efficient 2.0-litre BiTDI 180 PS diesel engine, and is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Transporter Sportline is also available with the seven-speed DSG transmission for optional extra priced at £1,400 premium.
The Volkswagen Transporter Sportline price will start from £28,220 (excluding VAT) for the panel van and £30,100 (excluding VAT) for the kombi.

The front fog lights of the Golf GTI Cabriolet Concept gave way to air guides for ventilating the high-performance brake system that is used. In side the open-top GTI look is characterised by black-silver 19-inch “Glendale” alloy wheels with 235 tyres. Another feature that stands out in side profile are the brake callipers painted “Tornado Red” with black GTI logos.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet Concept interior comes with “Black Stripe” pattern accents and Nappa leather seats with red GTI logos in the head restraints. The seams between the individual leather surfaces provide a sporty contrast; they are styled in “Flash Red” and “Crystal Grey”. Two-tone door inserts were coordinated with the seat pattern. Classic effects are achieved by aluminium door sill plates with worked-in GTI logo. The Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet Concept driving performance – with its 155 kW / 210 PS GTI engine – fully matches that of the closed-top GTI – i.e. right around 240 km/h and seven seconds for the sprint to 100 km/h.

Millions Where It Matters – the 2011 Volkswagen Routan

The Routan minivan is Volkswagen’s attempt to fatten their sales sheets. Hungry for a few dollars, VW contacted their competitors across the Atlantic and oh-so-nicely requested the blueprints to the Chrysler Town & Country/Dodge Grand Caravan. Chrysler acquiesced, and Volkswagen now has the Routan. Other pundits like to complain about its Chrysler-quality roots, but we say kudos to VW for a smart marketing choice. After all, Chrysler minivans sell like hotcakes, despite their so-so value. The Routan is not a segment leader, but VW is probably more interested in sales than compliments.
Mechanically, the 2011 Routan is nearly identical to its Chrysler compadres. It utilizes the same impressive V6 powerplant, which is very well suited to suburban driving tastes. Volkswagen is keen to point out that they spent millions reworking the suspension to create that “unique Volkswagen sense of feel.” The millions could have been better spent. The Routan is more agile and slightly quicker than its American counterparts, but what suburban parent gives two hoots about a half-second increase on a 0-60 dash? Still, if you are a sports car fanatic coerced into purchasing a minivan, the Routan may temper your need for speed.
Compared to Chrysler’s offerings, the Routan’s interior is less practical and more stylish. Interior quality and craftsmanship receive a welcome douse of European-style craftsmanship. Seating, upholstery, control interfaces, and general fitting have all been improved. Features are class-competitive, and one of the Routan’s four trim levels is sure to satisfy your lust for technology and convenience. For some odd and ill-advised reason, Volkswagen decided against Chrysler’s Stow-N-Go rear seating, and also foregoes the easily removable rear seating found in other competitors. The Routan boasts a massive 144 cubic feet of storage space, but that languishes behind Asian challengers, and it comes at the expense of some people space. Once again, it seems Volkswagen has spent money where it matters little to minivan shoppers.
But chances are, they’ll get those millions back.

Updating an icon
Only someone who knows and respects the Beetle’s heritage could produce a new generation of this storied vehicle. The task for Volkswagen engineers was clear. They had to develop a modern interpretation of the Beetle, with all the benefits of today’s technologies and efficiencies, and the driving characteristics that define the Volkswagen brand. The result had to remain affordable and stay true to the Beetle’s spirit and great heritage.

The design of the new Beetle presented another challenge. How does one reinvent a look that is so recognizable and unique? Volkswagen Group Design Chief Walter de Silva and Volkswagen Brand Design Chief, Klaus Bischoff, welcomed the task and set an ambitious objective: “Design a new original!”
The designers wanted to develop the new car around the earliest Beetle profile rather than the 1998 New Beetle. They wanted a car that respects the past but looks toward the future. And that is what they created.

2011 Volkswagen CC Highline Specification Suspension Rebates Color Price Top Speed and Review

Let me tell you a secret: when Volkswagen decided to launch the Passat CC a couple of years ago, I seriously doubted such a model could survive. And quite honestly, until I actually slipped behind the wheel, I still had doubts – and I’m not sure they’ve all been put to rest.

It’s not because I think the CC is a bad car, quite the contrary. But its style and charm might not be enough to justify its presence in the VW portfolio. Because when it comes to pricing, the CC is nearly a luxury model, and I’m not sure it has what it takes to compete in that particular market.

Athletic build
Since I’m sharing secrets, here’s another one: I think the Passat CC is one of the most beautiful cars in its class. And I say this with the utmost sincerity.

True, the four-door coupe format is copied off Mercedes-Benz’s CLS, and true, it borrows elements here and there from previous VW models. But the sum of all these parts (even the ones from the competition) turn the CC into a sporty yet sophisticated ride.

Even the cabin plays the luxury card. Though immediately recognizable as a Volkswagen environment, it has a little extra flair that lends it a unique personality.

The dials are easy to read, the controls are as always ergonomic, and the whole package is highly efficient. In fact, I think this is the German manufacturer’s finest cabin yet.

Kudos also for the front seats, which offer uncompromising support and comfort, even when you let yourself get a little carried away behind the wheel.

2011 Volkswagen Tiguan Comfortline Specification Rebates Suspension Top Speed Color Price and Review

I’m not usually a fan of SUVs. But there’s always an exception to the rule, and here it’s Volkswagen’s Tiguan. I have to say, the little ute really does justice to the “sport” in Sport Utility Vehicle – and that’s rarely the case in this class.

Because it’s built on the same platform as the Golf, and uses a well-known and rather lively engine, the Tiguan comes off more athletic than ponderous.

The usual suspects
If you like the way Volkswagen does cabins, than you’ll feel right at home in the Tiguan. You’ll find all the elements that make VW cockpits what they are. Same steering wheel, garnished with the same redundant controls. The dials and various instruments are easy to read and all have the family DNA too.

Even the centre console is familiar, as the audio and air conditioning controls are pretty much the same as every other VW model.

Of course, since this is an SUV the cabin is slightly bigger, but that’s about the only difference. I loved the perfect blend of tan and black that set off my tester, but it does get dirty a little too easily in winter.

Equipment-wise, the Tiguan is no scrooge – but neither does it splurge. You get, for example, a rather conventional but nevertheless efficient stereo system, a precise touch screen, connectivity options, namely for the iPod, and heated seats with electric adjustments for the driver.

Another not inconsiderable nicety is the large sunroof. The panoramic expanse floods the cabin with light and allows for natural ventilation without the deafening wind noise. However, when the sunroof is closed the sunshade takes its own sweet time to deploy.

Rear passengers will appreciate the easy access to their perches. The sliding bench that offers a little extra legroom will be welcome, since the back isn’t as spacious as you’d hope.

A new Volkswagen Beetle is a bolder, more dynamic, and masculine, the latter is a huge bonus for this car generation. Many men would not be caught dead with vehicle-bug as in previous years, but we are confident that Volkswagen hopes the project aimed opens the doors male segment. Volkswagen will offer three different engines for the new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle: a diesel and two petrol. The 2.0 TDI engine delivers 138 HP and everything has a fuel economy of 40 mpg in the cycle of the highway is 29mpg in city and 33mpg combined. It will be available with a gearbox 6-speed manual transmission or optional 6-speed dual clutch. The gasoline engine lineup will include a 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine and a 197 hp 2.0 TSI. Depending on the version, the gasoline engine will provide up to 25 mpg in combined cycle and can be coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission or standard 6-speed DSG option.
